To make a tulip, cut two leaves, one stem and three (or more) petals!  Overlap the petals -- try bright solid colors:  red, orange, pink, yellow.  Or, try painting tissue paper with watercolor paints, the wilder colors and patterns, the better.  Use the watercolor paper to make wonderful petals!
